Position overview

Massey University's Information & Records Management (IRM) team provides national shared services by developing and implementing enterprise-wide information and records management programmes that enable all Massey staff to effectively manage information and records, to support the goals of the University.

We’re at an exciting stage of transforming our SharePoint-based EDRMS solution onto IRM Digital Workplaces for the University. The IRM Digital Workplaces are provided through Microsoft Teams/SharePoint Online within Office365 with the integration use of essential recordkeeping tools, and serve as the recordkeeping compliance solution for the effective management of electronic documents and information of the University.

We are looking for a skilled and outcomes-focused individual who has proven experience in SharePoint user knowledge and provision of customer support services in a large organisation. This role will provide you with lots of opportunities to apply and extend your knowledge and skills in SharePoint and its associated technology.

You will join a dedicated and friendly team that is keen to maximise the business benefits by modelling a culture of high-quality information and records management practices across the University. Although this position is based in Palmerston North, you’ll be providing customer support and site deployment services for all users among our three campuses (inc. Albany and Wellington) via the University’s digital communication tools.

To be successful in your appointment you will have;

3+ years supporting SharePoint/ IT users, preferably in a company using Office365 or SharePoint 2013/2016
Technical specialism in information management systems and experience in EDRMS system administration, preferably in a large organisation
Knowledge in information management and recordkeeping standards to assist business adoption of IRM best practice ( Familiarity with the Public Records Act 2005 an advantage)
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Customer focus with a flexible and responsive approach
